「ジェフミルズは死んだ」と思っていたが生きていた。去年の渚でのプレイは良くなかったので、あまり期待せずに行ったのですが、今回は素晴らしかった。「ONE MAN SPACESHIP」。ロックだった。昔のリキッドルームでのプレイを思い出しました。いや、それよりも良かった。童心に返りました。全体にポジティブな雰囲気が溢れてたのも良かった。過去の遺産「Waveform Transmission vo3」「Purpose Maker」「Riot EP」を使いつつも一つの流れに組み込まれている・・・そして909プレイ。あれはただシーケンスを走らせるんじゃなくて、その場でリアルタイムで打ち込んでループを組んでるんですね。始めて一番前の中央で対面して聴いてました。贅沢。やはり抜群に耳がいい。そして処理能力が早く、閃きが冴えてた。インプロバイザー。野性と理性を併せ持ってると言うか。例えば、低音を切って低音を入れるという作業一つとっても「正解」のバランスとタイミングで実行する。兎に角、あのライブ感は良かった。下層の部分でのジャズやファンクやヒップホップを踏襲している所が多くのエレクトロニックミュージシャンとの違いかも知れないですね。正直DJとしては「悔しい」と思いました。今回は自分が作ったトラック、若しくは関わったトラックしか使わなかったようです。確かにヨーロッパのトゥーマッチなハードテクノはかからなかった。そして「one man spaceship」と言うコンセプトは過去で一番素晴らしいのではないでしょうか。

I thought "Jeff Mills already died". But he was alive... It was so wonderful party this time though I was not expecting it too much. because last year's his playing at 'Nagisa music festival' was not good. This time I recalled his DJ playing at 'Shinjuku Riquidroom' ten years ago. he was better than then. I returned to my younger days. It was also good that the floor was positive atmosphere. He was using the heritage of the past. 'Waveform Transmission vo3''Purpose Maker''Riot EP'. However, it was along the flow. And, 909 playing. It doesn't only start the sequence. He was making some loops in real time. I was listening at the most previous center on the floor. This is luxurious. I felt he has very good ear. And his processing abilities is very fast and accurate. He is real improviser. His DJ playing has both rational aspect and wild aspect.He accurately handles even easy technique. Anyway, his DJ playing is 'live performance'.He has the experience of black music.For example Jazz,Hiphop,Funk. It is a difference with a lot of electronic musicians. I envy him as DJ.　He seemed to have used tracks that he made or related them. It is true he did'nt use European hard techno.And "one man spaceship" is his best concept in the past.

In my DJ career, I've always invisioned a night where I'm given the oppertunity to play only the music that I've made and associated with, It's been a idea that I've held for quite sometime, but by only creating such a vast body of music would make it possible Spanning over20 years and ranging from varies productions of Final Cut, Underground Resistance, Purpose Maker, Tomorrow and Axis, remix releases and new material made especially for this night, I'll create a special one-time only DJ set for this last and final night of 'One Man Spaceship'. 11/25（土）にAsianDynasty日本初となるレーベルパーティーを行います。これまでレーベルとしては音楽配信、ＣＤ、レコードのリリースを中心に活動してきた訳で、クラブイベントは日本では始めてとなります。出演者も豪華。メインフロア、ラウンジフロア、内装まで抜かりなし。自分のＤＪの準備も万端です。東京に出てきて初のテクノＤＪ。バシっと行きます。

AsianDynasty's label party is held at 11/25. Up to now, we have concentrated on the release of music download, CD and vynal. This is the first party of label in Japan. Performers is gorgeous. As for me, I can already prepare DJ. I will do my best.

大手ポータルサイト「Excite」が動画共有サービス「Dogalog」をスタートさせる。「YouTube」との違いとしては、200MBまでアップロード可能、動画投稿数は無制限、目視確認によるチェック有り、iPodでの再生もサポートといった所でしょうか。手前味噌ですが、私の動画がアップされています。動画共有で最近気になったのがブラウザ上で動画編集できる「JumpCut」と言うソフト。これは機能が更に充実すれば便利な気がする。デジタルビデオカメラを持って旅行しながらブラウザ上で映画を作る。なんて事も可能なのでしょうか。AsianDynastyのページでも紹介されています。自分のDogalogの動画はこちら。

Japanese major portal site "Excite" starts video streaming service. The function of dogalog is a little different from youtube. Dogalog can be uploaded up to 200MB.Updated file is checked by dogalog staff.The number of movie is unrestricted.And It is possible to listen to the downloaded file with ipod. Recently I am anxious about "jumpcut". This is software that can edit the uploaded file on a browser. If the function is enhanced further, this is more convenient.
